Nakamura Shikan IV holding a face towel is portrayed within a diamond-shaped wooden sign with a wind chime bearing a poem slip dangling from the bottom. The poem slip bears a specimen of the actor’s calligraphy and verse. The background features herbaceous plants of several varieties.

Condition: Very good impression, color and condition. It’s possible that the yellow on the left-hand side of the cartouche has been added later. Untrimmed and unbacked. Some minor wrinkles.
