Famous fight between two of the Eight Dog Heroes of the Satomi Clan on the roof of the pavilion. From the popular novel “Nansô Satomi Hakkenden” by Takizawa Bakin, the story tells of the eight heroes who battle to restore the fallen samurai house of Satomi. Here we see the fight on the roof of the Hôryûkaku, where Inuzuka Moritaka defends himself against the police chief Inukai Kampachi Nobumichi. Rare design.
