The courtesan Usugumo cuddles with her cat. Her purple robe has a pattern of cats comprised of wrapped bundles, and her hair ornaments feature cats as decoration. The cat’s fur has areas of blindprinting. Her love of cats must have been well-known.

Condition: Very good impression, color and condition. Untrimmed and unbacked. Very minor wrinkles and some pigment transfer.
