A woman bends towards her small child, both silhouetted in the gateway to a private residence in Ome in Tokyo. Another woman, with a child on her back, turns to look. Perhaps the children are calling to one another? It is early spring, and a weeping cherry prepares to fully blossom. According to the artist, 55 impressions were required to create this design. The color of the sky is both singular and subtle, a testament to the attention to detail that Hiroshi lavished on his prints to get the colors exactly as he saw them.
