Sumidagawa, kiri. Boats ply the Sumida River in the mist, while passengers await a ferry at a landing in the right foreground. This work evokes Manet and other French Impressionists. Yoshida published this work in several color versions that indicate different times of day and atmospheric conditions, with this one being the most effective in terms of conveying mood.
