A diverse and festive crowd has gathered to watch the traditional burning of the “dai” (great) kanji on the slope of Mount Daimonji (Nyoigadake). Nijô-bashi yori Daimonji o nozomu. This is from the early second edition, printed in the 1930s with the Satô seal beneath the signature of the artist.
