A woodblock print mimicking a photograph of an actor striking a pose. Fantastic experiment showing the impact of photography on printmaking. Since woodblock prints had been produced for hundreds of years featuring actor portraits, this presents an interesting turnaround of an ancient method presenting a modern medium. Note the extra “shiny” layer on top of the work to mimic a photograph.
