Evening on the Sumida River at the place of the Oumayabashi Ferry. A pine tree hangs overhead, named the Pine of Success (Shubi no matsu), which was placed at the end of the middle peir of the bakufu’s large Asakusa rice granary. In the foreground is a roofed pleasure boat with two pairs of shoes visible on the stern. We see the silhouette of a woman who seems to be offering a bowl to an unseen guest.
