Yamataka has exhibited at the CWAJ print show in Tokyo since 1973. A self-taught artist, he chooses as his subjects the everyday scenery of Japan, often rural places that show a traditional way of life. In this view we see a tower with a weathervane and bell against a sky dotted with small, puffy clouds. A farmer carries on their back a basket with a profusion of stems. He passes a thatch-roofed building that has many types of wood stacked out front. Numbered 51 out of an edition of 100 in pencil, bottom.
