Portrait of an elephant with his keeper, a Javanese man. A European, probably Dutch, leans over a very Western-style balustrade. Accompanied by a handwritten translation in Dutch by General Jean Charles Pabst (1873-1942) dated 1937.

Condition: Good impression; very good color and condition. Collector’s seal left corner of Charles Boxer (1904-2000).
