The Soga brothers are presented in a strong style, holding poses similar to those of kabuki actors. On the leftmost sheet Yawata Shichirô tumbles backwards, knocked down by Asahina Saburô, who dominates the center sheet in a black coat decorated with cranes. On the right, the older Soga brother hosds up his hand to prevent the younger Soga from drawing his sword. One holds a traveling hat. The background is completely blank, lending the work a modern feeling.

Condition: Excellent impression. Very good colors and condition. Some expertly repaired wormage.
