Yaegagki-hime gazes towards the portrait her betrothed, Takeda Katsuyori. She burns a special incense “Returning Soul”, hoping to retrieve his spirit. She does not yet realize that the real Katsuyori is not dead, but only his body double, who was forced to commit ritual suicide. Yaegaki-hime later saves the day by crossing the frozen Lake Suwa with the aid of magic foxes to guarantee a happy ending.
