The actor Bando Hikosaburo IV as Orikoshi Tairyo Masatomo, who here is playing the role of a very bad guy, confronted by the ghost of the virtuous man whom he had killed. From the play Higashiyama Sakura Zoshi. Forms a diptych with the Ghost of Asakura Togo. The grey in the white robe is the result of oxidized lead pigment, and is the result of a deliberate choice by the printer.
