In this series, the hundred-eight heroes are depicted on twelve sheets, each with a group of nine heroes against a plain blue ground.The twelve sheets are further classified into two stars: Star of Heaven (4 sheets) and Star of Earth (8 sheets). In the following list the heroes are named from the top clockwise (names of stars in parenthesis): Konseimaô Hanzui with magically clasped hands emitting lightning (chizensei); Hitendaisei Rikon leaning on the shaft of his weapon (chisôsei); Tettekisen Barin seated in armour (chimeisei); Shô-onkô Ryohô seated, with a spear (chisasei); Hakujiroso Hakushô bending a bamboo for a bow (chimôsei); Saijinki Kakusei standing with a spear and weighted cord (chiyûsei); Tetsubihaku Saifuku seated with a curved bamboo (chiheisei); Itsushika Saikei seated, three-quarter back view (chisonsei), and Hatsubinada Kôjû half-naked, holding up a sword (chibisei). hanshita-e attached.
