Banzui Chôbei, chief of the Otokodate (chivalrous townsmen who championed the oppressed). He wields a large kitchen knife over a man who has been trussed like a fish and whose garments have scale-like patterns. In the inset is a man with a sword in a sake shop. Inset cartouche signed “Monjin Ittosai Yoshitsuna”. Provenance: BW Robinson
