The actor Ichikawa Danjuro VIII in the role of Naofuku Maki Takarago, actually Jiraiya. From the play Jiraiya goketsu monogatari. Printed with exquisite care, this is an very early impression with exceptional colors that also features blindprinting. He holds a precious locked box in one hand and a sword in the other. Behind him is a banner with the name “Jiraiya” written large.
