Iwai Kumesaburo III, Ichikawa Danjuro VIII in the play "Jiraiya goketsu monogatari." Kumesaburô III is in the role of Tagoto hime jitsuha Teruta. She has stopped playing the koto in surprise as a sheaf of papers turns into a stream of origami frogs that disappear over the edge of their verandah. Standing at left is Danjuro VIII in the role of Jiraiya, master of Frog Magic, who must be controlling this emanation of magical frogs. Behind him two geese fly in front of a full moon. The surroundings are sumptuous and indicate wealth and luxury.
