Actor portrait of Ichimura Uzaemon XIII as Mizuki Tatsuyo, the Cat Witch. The furry paw with giant claws is a nice touch, and the hair on the wig has been very expertly carved and printed. Inset is the actor Onoe Kikugorô III next to a detail of a lotus flower. He seems to be looking down in the portrait signed “Gengyo”. From the play “Tôkaidô Iroha Nikki”, performed at the Ichimura-ya theater.

Condition: Excellent impression, and color; very good condition. Minor soiling bottom left corner.
