This series of twelve months are designed with a beauty and a matching cartouche of each month. This print depicts a woman, measuring the material for kimono with a bamboo measure. A sewing kit is at her side; a pair of scissors with a bell in front of her. In the cartouche it says the third month, and a woman is kneeling in front of a gift. Behind her are the large pieces of baggage covered in furoshiki. A poem by Kigetsu Mimasu and also in Chinese ‘denso henjite uzura to naru’’--”a mole turned into a quail.”
