The 12th century warrior Tametomo catching arrows shot at him in a competition with Shônagon Nyûdô Shinsei. He is only thirteen years old here, yet his skills are such that he has caught an arrow in his teeth. From the series “Ten Famous Excellencies of Tametomo”. An unusually fine example, with extra yellow applied to the eyes.
