A beauty relaxes on the floor, head resting on her hand, completely engrossed in her book. A timeless scene of a pastime that many can relate to enjoying. In a neat grouping beside her we see the other volumes of her novel. These books were woodblock printed with the same methods that were used in printing ukiyo-e prints such as this one. In the cartouche above (signed by Ryoko) we see two more books with a long tobacco pipe. A perfect design to honor the bookworm in your life!
