Tsunade, wife of Ebara, holds the head of Ichiwakamaru, who has sacrificed himself to save Kinsato, the secret son of the shogun. She had the blackened teeth of a married woman, and has two Buddhist rosaries on her right wrist. From the kabuki play “Wada Gassen Onna Maizuru”. Beautifully printed, with shiny effects on the blood, faintly visible falling grey rain and mica highlights.
