On the anniversary of 150 year’s commemoration (1851) of Ako lordless samurai (47 Rônin), Kuniyoshi published the individual bust portraits of the lordless samurai in their battle attires. Fifteen years later (1866) Kunisada II publishes this print with the same title, though it uses different characters, with Kabuki actors. Here Ohoshi Yuranosuke from “Chushingura” shows the full figure and the short personal history on the top.
