Bold coastal scene of spray hitting rocks and waves approaching shore and colliding with large rocks as light rain falls. The fishermen at right seem to be going about their business as usual, as their nets are still spread out on their small wooden craft. Beautifully printed, and rather rare in this first edition, which still has the date seal (Showa 31) at lower left. Also in the left margin are the publisher’s seal of Unsodo and the seal of Shinmi the printer and Nagashima the carver. One of Shiro's finest postwar designs.
