A tree spreads its branches, seeming to welcome the full moon into its embrace. This is the lighter version of this design, with a silver-colored sky. Hoshi ‘s unique woodblock printing technique involved gold and silver leaf, layers of overprinting with oil paint, and burnishing the blocks with a flame. Numbered 3/99.
