First, or deluxe edition. Visitors enjoy the blooming cherry trees in the three connected gardens that form the Temple Gardens of Nippori, in the outskirts of Edo. We see two weeping cherry trees at left, and numerous other blooming cherry trees throughout the garden. To the right, charmingly cropped, is the topiary in the form of a boat that was one of Shushoin gardens most famous attractions. This first edition features bokashi on every element of the design as well as mica in the sky and along the walking paths.
Scarce in this first edition.
