Date: ca. 1845

This is number seven in the series. Hako-o-Maru (Soga no Goro) ties his traveling hat on with a look of firm resolution as he departs the Buddhist Temple to avenge the death of his father. He seems very alone in the dark, surrounded by inhospitable wilderness and far too young for his mission.
