The truncated trunk of a beautiful paulownia tree dominates this view near the southern shore of Tameike, near Edo Castle. The name Kiribatake means “Paulownia Fields”. This design was later replaced by a rain scene by Hiroshige II; it is suspected that the original blocks for this work may have been damaged or lost.
Condition: Excellent impression, and color; very good condition. With extensive mica throughout.
