In the famous Hôeido series version, station Shôno depicted travellers and farmers dashing over a rainy slope. In this series, Hiroshige picked up the scene at the station. At the station office we see officials busy with paperwork for the waiting travellers. Outside, horses are being readied for the journey ahead. “Shôno: Transferring of passengers and horses” (Shôno: jinba shukutsugi no zu)
