Yoshida no yukibare. The rooflines of the snow-covered dwellings echo the shape of majestic Fuji-san, which seems very close due to the clearness of the winter air. Printed by the famous Ôno Gintarô. One can’t help wonder if this oversized view of a pristine Mount Fuji was a way to comfort the Japanese during the war, and to encourage them to endure the hardships.
