This iconic American view is graced with the Japanese gift of thousands of cherry trees. It was commissioned by Shiota Takezô in San Francisco. It is always unsealed. Mr. Shiota paid Hasui, and Hasui paid Watanabe to print this work, but it was never available for sale in Watanabe’s shop. The only print that Hasui created of a North American scene. Rare.
