According to the Bertha Lum catalogue raisonné website, this called Golden Phoenix and Ming Tei. Beautiful, oversized design of a costumed Chinese couple appearing before a moon gate. She wears a robe decorated with phoenix birds, and a strange fruit grows on a tree behind them. This is a raised line work, done with her unique technique of molding wet paper to the block for a positive relief and then hand-painting the work and mounting it on strong paper. On the back is written “Phoenix” in Lum’s handwriting. This work is not listed in the printed catalogue raisonné by Gravalos/Pulin.
