Native Japanese River Plovers wade in shallow water beneath branches of Rosegold Pussy Willow (Cat-willow), a native species common in Japan. Number 83 in Rakusan’s finest bird-and-flower series. The Japanese title may be translated “Pussywillow and Snowy Plovers (Winter)” {Nekoyanagi ni kawachidori (fuyu)}. From the edition that was published between 1948 and 1955.
