Yashima Dan-no-ura kassen Yoshitsune hassô tobi no zu. Yoshitsune’s famous eight-boat leap at Dan-no-ura during the battle of Yashima. The way the waves are depicted in the leftmost sheet definitely has the influence of western engravings. Here Kuniyoshi’s style dominates, but we see a few unique touches of Yoshitoshi, such as the unusual angle of the upturned face of the warrior at left.

Condition: Excellent impression and color; very good condition. Minor creasing.
