From the series “Heroes and the Five Elements” (Eiyû gogyô no uchi), this is Fire: Sassa Narimasa During a Protracted Battle in Kyushu (Hi: Sassa Narimasa Kyushu nansen no zu). Narimasa sits with a fierce and battle-hungry expression atop his wounded steed, surrounded by flames and fallen men. One man’s corpse is aflame at his feet. Weapons also litter the ground. One loyal soldier crouches at his feet, his expression worried and his eyes bloodshot.

Condition: Excellent impression, color and condition. Minor backing remnants, verso. Untrimmed.
