Awazugahara okkasen no zu. The Battle of Awazugahara. Scene from one of the battles between the Minamoto and Taira clans. The billowing smoke and prominent tree show a definite western influence. Keyes lists this work as a triptych from 1867, but the date seal seems to be from 1868. Right half of a hexaptych.
