A female patient sits on the mat, resting her head on a rolle cushion. Another woman, depicted from the back seems to be surprised, opening both arms. On the floor there is a tarayô leaf on a sheet, which is considered to prevent the measles. The text above writes the things forbidden on the right hand and the things recommended on the left hand side. The things forbidden are: sexual intercourse for 75 days, no bath for 75 days, no moxacautery for 75 days, no sake for 75 days, no soba noodles for 75 days.....no river fish, budocks, egg-plants, broad beans, taroes, miso for pickling, dried shiitakes, nori sea weeds, spinatch, leeks, corns, all the oily stuff, and devil’s tongues. The things good to eat are: dried gourd shavings, carrots, ... radishes, dried strips of radish, eals, sweet potatoes, ....liliy roots, pickles in miso, rice flour dumplings, Chinese yam, dried noodles, green beans, baked fu bread, wheat, azuki red beans, sugar, katakuri starch, green beans, yuba from sojabeans milk, old pickled radish, ... sea weeds, hijiki spindel-shaped bladder leaves. Make soft rice with roasted salt. The title is written the holly leaf, which is considered to be preventive against measles.
