Takuto Tenno Chogai. Emperor Chôgai and the god (spirit) of Takutô pagoda. We see a Chinese emperor lifting a stone monument and seeing a host of creepy spirits emerge. There is a large spirit with a face on his abdomen, a brown spirit with a snake swirling by his shoulders, a green oni grouching behind the stone, a blue demon behind the top of the stone and a white demon with claws for ears to the right of the crowd. They are perhaps being released after being trapped by the stone and its blessings. A scarce design.

Condition: Very good impression and color; good condition. Some toning and damage to margins and minor center fold.
