Number eleven: The kabuki actor Onoe Matsusuke I as Oboshi Yuranosuke. He looks sternly at Arashi Kanjuro I as Katsusuke, who holds a painting showing two travelers. Matsusuke's robe has been overprinted with a lead pigment which has oxidized, giving it an interesting texture. Outside their room we see rain falling.
