Uesugi Kagetora is seen bossing about an older vassal, who kneels before him questioningly. Kagetora holds a toy mallet, but his leadership skills are quite evident here, even at a young age. Uesugi Kagetora was the adopted son of the famous warlord Uesugi Kenshin, who died without naming a successor. Kagetora was forced to commit suicide by his adopted brother Kagekatsu, who became Kensin’s heir.
