Oshitano Rishichi can barely stand, and leans heavily upon his sword. He is covered in grievious wounds and dripping blood, and his face has the bluish tint of coming death. Nearby are two men who seem to have succombed to their injuries. Judging by their garments they are his compatriots, and perhaps he is rising to claim revenge with his last energy. The text is written by Sanzan-tei Arindo. This series was one of Yoshitoshi’s earliest major efforts.
