Scene from the dance section Michiyuki Tabiji no Hanamuko from the play Kanadehon Chushingura, performed at the Ichimura-za in the 2nd month of 1851. Pictured are Ichikawa Komazu VI in the role of Yakko Kanai , Ichikawa Danjuro VII as Hayano Kanpei and Bando Shuka I as Koshimoto Okaru. The Chushingura was a classic chestnut of a play, performed often to great demand. It of course centers around the Tale of the 47 Ronin, who sacrificed themselves to avenge the death of their late lord.
Condition: Excellent impression and color. Very good/good condition. With a small tear in the woman’s kimono and a couple of very small wormholes.
