One of the few designs by Hiroshige in this series: this is perhaps the finest design in the set. The poet Yamabe no Akahito wearing court garb raises his arm as he gazes over Tago Bay towards Mount Fuji. Fuji rises above misty purple clouds, and the triangular shapes of the hanging fishing nets echo the famous symmetry of the great mountain. With beautiful bokashi on the mountains, mist and sea.

Condition: Excellent impression, color and condition. Minor repaired binding holes, right margin.
