Oda Nobunaga (1534-1582) during his last stand at the burning temple, Honnôji, in Kyoto. From the series “Mirror of Famous Generals of Japan”. One of the strongest designs of the series. Flames surround him as he strikes down an attacker with his bow. The smoke and fire are different in each print, as a lead pigment was applied that oxidized in a unique way in each print. 

Condition: Excellent impression, color and condition. An exceptionally nice impression. Small wormage in margin.
