We can feel the the influence of the Japanese prints on this work in the unusual perspective and the strong diagonals. Provenance: Estate of the artist. Lewis was one of the greatest American printmakers of the early 20th century, and his trip to Japan in 1920 was formative. Numbered 12/60.
