“Lieutenant Mano Ganjirô of the Ninth Torpedo.” Lt. Ganjirô seems to be piloting a very small craft, or perhaps we are seeing the small front end of a much larger craft. The number “nine” (kyu) can be seen painted on the craft. He seems to be aiming a cannon of some sort. We see an explosion in the distance and dramatic sea all around. This is a rather rare series depicting various “heroes” from the Sino-Japanese War.

Condition: Very good impression, color and condition. Backing remnants verso.
