A full moon rises above Shinagawa, as seen through a gauzy mosquito net set up for sleeping. Henry Smith consideres this one of the best of all of Kiyochika’s landscape prints and notes that “The rendering of the netting itself is remarkable for a kind of realism that would have been impossible for Hiroshige”.
