Ukifune (Boat on the Water). The samurai Akabori Mizuemon fends of the sword-weilding O-Matsu aboard a small boat. Ukifune is the title of the last chapter of the Tale of Genji as well as the unrecognized daughter of the Eighth Prince. The character Akabori (Fujiwara) Mizuemon appears as a villain in the play about the Soga Brothers; so the scene here is challenging to pin down.
