Suzuki Saemon Hida no Kami Shigyuki is a marksman who attempts unsuccessfully to shoot Oda Nobunaga during an ambush at Ishiyama. The scene is compared with “Lingering Snow at Ishiyama” from the famous “Eight Views”. The sprays of gofun-based “snow” are applied by hand and are unique to each print.
Condition: Excellent impression; very good color and condition. Mounting remnants on margins verso and pigment smudge in sky.
