Minamoto no Tametomo (1139-70), a warrior from Kyûshû and his followers visit various islands, the text praising his bravery. Tametomo is shown with a fan with the rising sun and his followers on the right sheet, and his henchman Oniyasha shouldering a stranded boat off of a rock, amazing the less jaded on the scene. A flock of plovers fly like a wave along the scene.

He took the name Chinzei Hachirô as he married a daughter of Aso Tadakuni, a rich warrior in Bungo Province.

Condition: Very good impression, color and condition. Some discoloration in sky, and slight traces of backing, verso.
